Information:

With the help of scholarships provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), foreign graduates from developing and newly industrialized nations with at least two years of professional experience can pursue a postgraduate or Master's degree at a state or state-recognized German university, and in exceptional circumstances, a doctoral degree, as well as a university qualification (Master's/PhD) in Germany. The scholarship lasts between 12 and 24 months for Masters students, depending on the institution, and 42 months for PhD students.

Eligibility:

  1. Is currently employed in a developing nation by a public authority, a state or private company, and, as such, is involved in the planning and execution of directives and projects with an emphasis on technological, economic, or social development policies. 
  2. Holds a Bachelor's degree, which typically takes four years, in a related field.
  3. Has at least two years of related professional experience following the first degree (bachelor) at the time of application 
  4. His or her academic degrees should typically not be older than six years. 
  5. Has completed an academic degree with far above average results (upper third).
  6. For German-language courses (the scholarship includes a six-month course): Before beginning the study course, you must pass the language exam DSH 2 or TestDaF 4. As a result, applicants must have a minimum German language proficiency of B1 at the time of application, which must be documented with a certificate.
  7. For English classes: In accordance with the guidelines of the respective courses, evidence of adequate language proficiency
